In these days of high density housing in cities and towns, there is a tendency to think we have to build, build, build and the developers have jumped for joy at the lifting of so many restraints. There are small ribbon developments along every single dual carriageway and road network in this area for sure. When I moved up here from London some 40 years ago, there were farms surrounding the small village I made my home. Now many of the road edging fields have grown housing instead of arable crops.
I agree that everyone should have a chance to buy their home if they so wish. I just wish that not so many wanted to do so right here. But when building work is needed, going to an expert will ensure the best design and build practice will be employed. Whether it be a new build or refurbishment / rebuild of existing, getting experienced contractors is critical.
